Our Response:

We redesigned the ground floor to fulfil our clients' vision of a unified, modern living environment. Central to our design was lowering the kitchen floor level, enabling the creation of a stunning split-level kitchen/dining/living room. A new single-storey extension is enhanced by four large rooflights bathing this newly integrated space in natural light, creating a seamless flow between indoors and outdoors.

Drawing inspiration from early 20th-century design, our concept incorporated distinctive features such as parquet-style herringbone flooring, Crittall-style windows and doors, copper lighting fittings and accents in rainwater goods, and a striking angled soffit. These elements not only elevate the aesthetic appeal but also imbue the space with timeless elegance and sophistication.

Upon entering the house, our design introduces sweeping views through the new extension and patio, inviting the beauty of the garden into the heart of the home. We also enriched the living experience by designing a galleried play space within one of the children’s bedrooms on the first floor, enhancing both functionality and charm of the home.
